The Bobcats held training camp in Wilmington, NC for the second-straight year in 2006, with all of the team's practices taking place at the Trask Coliseum on the campus of UNC Wilmington. The team's first practice took place on Tuesday, October 3, and was the first of six straight days of work. Training camp concluded with an intrasquad scrimmage open to the public on Sunday, October 8 in Wilmington.

TRAINING CAMP A SUCCESS
October 8, 2006 -The Bobcats concluded their 2006 training camp on Sunday night as they hosted an open scrimmage at UNCW's Trask Coliseum. The scrimmage ended a week of productive practices and also gave fans a first-hand look at the 2006-07 Bobcats squad.


HARRINGTON BECOMING A LEADER
October 7, 2006 -This is Othella Harrington's first training camp with the Charlotte Bobcats, making him a rookie on the team, but with 11 years experience in the league, he is quickly becoming a leader for the squad both on and off the court.


A WHOLE NEW WORLD
October 6, 2006 -Training Camp is an adjustment for most rookies as they have to adapt to new teammates, coaches and life in the NBA. For rookie Walter Herrmann, the challenge is a little more difficult as he has had to adapt to a new country and new language as well.


CARROLL ENJOYING CAMP
October 5, 2006 - Even with all the grueling practices and tough workouts associated with training camp, Matt Carroll is still smiling. He's seen the other side and knows what it's like to not be part of an NBA training camp. Now as he begins his third season with the Bobcats, he knows how fortunate he is to be doing something he loves.


FELTON EXUDING CONFIDENCE
October 5, 2006 - To fully appreciate the value of a year's experience in the NBA, you only need to spend a few minutes with Raymond Felton. The 6-1 guard is in much more of a comfort zone and ready to be a leader as he begins his second season in the league.


WALLACE READY FOR SEASON
October 4, 2006 - Even though Gerald Wallace spent much of last season playing out of position, the 2005-06 campaign was a career year for the 6-7 forward. Now, after a productive summer, Wallace is back, ready to continue to take his game to another level.


HOLLINS BRINGS THE RIM DOWN
October 4, 2006 - Rookie Ryan Hollins dunked during a drill in Trask Coliseum at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington on Wednesday and caused the collapsable basket support to come down, interrupting practice for about five minutes.


ROOKIES PLAY THROUGH FIRST-DAY JITTERS
October 3, 2006 - Nobody was more eager at the first day of Training Camp on Tuesday than rookies Adam Morrison and Ryan Hollins -- the Bobcats’ third and 50th picks in the 2006 NBA Draft, respectively -- who were participating in their first ever NBA practice.


NEW JOURNEY BEGINS FOR BOBCATS
October 2, 2006 - The Bobcats held their annual Media Day on Monday, October 2 before heading to Wilmington, NC, where they will open training camp on Tuesday, October 3. The talk at media day was about playoffs heading into the franchise's third season.
