The 2010 NBA free agent season officially kicked off today and teams are able to begin talking to free agents and receiving verbal commitments. However, nothing can be officially announced until the NBA's moratorium is lifted on July 8. The biggest news might be that with Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Pierce, Amare Stoudemire, Richard Jefferson and John Salmons all deciding not to exercise their player options the market for unrestricted free agents might be the strongest its ever been.
REPORT: Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Grizzlies have agreed to a verbal deal with Rudy Gay
