The Charlotte Rollin' Bobcats Prep team began its 2006-07 campaign with an undefeated 3-0 record on Saturday, November 18 at the Music City Hoopfest in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The youngest Bobcats won their season opener against the Georgia Blazers Too, 28-10. The second game saw the Rollin’ Bobcats post a 31-8 win over the Lakeshore Sharks, and the afternoon was completed with a 30-16 repeat win over the Sharks for the Championship.
The inaugural season for the Charlotte Rollin' Bobcats Junior Varsity team began with a challenge against the older Georgia Blazers Varsity team. The Georgia Varsity -- a Top 16 Varsity team from the 2005-06 season -- handled the younger Bobcats, 36-13.
The first matchup for the Rollin’ Bobcats JV team versus another JV team resulted in a 33-14 victory against the Lakeshore Stingers (who finished ninth in the
2006 JV National Tournament). The JV team stayed hot in its next contest, taking down the host Music City Thunder JV, 28-26.
The JV Rollin’ Bobcats team completed its day with its second loss to the Georgia Blazers Varsity team, 22-38, but finished the tournament in second place.
