Rollin’ Bobcats

The Charlotte Bobcats are partnering with the Charlotte Wheelchair Basketball League, a local chapter of the national organization that provides disabled youth and adults with the opportunity to participate in competitive basketball, and are sponsoring the league's premier travel team -- newly named the Charlotte Rollin' Bobcats.

The Rollin' Bobcats partnership includes operational support for the league and travel team program, as well as Bobcats-sponsored exhibitions and clinics to be held at NBA games, area schools and organizations throughout the Carolinas. Additionally, the Charlotte Bobcats will include members of the wheelchair league in its community relations outreach programs throughout the year.

The Charlotte Wheelchair Basketball League is part of the Disabled Sports and Recreational Program and helps disabled youth and adults to benefit from the related socialization and physical fitness derived from participation in sports. Teams compete in local competition and travel to regional tournaments across the country, including a national championship title run.
