Bobcats Games To Air On WFNZ 610-AM For Third Straight Season

December 8, 2011
Bobcats Sports & Entertainment President & COO Fred Whitfield announced today that the team has renewed its deal with CBS Radio's WFNZ 610-AM to remain as the flagship station for the Bobcats Radio Network for the 2011-12 season. The deal calls for CBS Radio to broadcast preseason, regular season and potential postseason games on WFNZ or a CBS Radio affiliate station in the event of a conflict with other contracted programming.
"We're excited to be back on WFNZ this season," Whitfield said. "As an all-sports station, our demographics are a natural fit and they have been a great partner for us over the last two seasons. We look forward to continuing our relationship."
In addition, Scott Lauer will return as the radio play-by-play voice of the Bobcats for a fifth season. Lauer has been the team's play-by-play announcer since the 2007-08 season, after spending the previous three seasons as the studio host for the club's radio broadcasts.
