Bobcats To Hold "Get Well Soon" Night

The Bobcats held Presbyterian Hospital “Get Well Soon” Night on Wednesday, February 1, in conjunction with their game against Atlanta at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.

The Bobcats encouraged fans to bring blank “get well” cards to the arena for the game. Those who presented a card at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena Ticket Office received a two-for-one ticket offer for that night’s contest. All donated cards will be signed by the Bobcats’ injured players -- including Emeka Okafor, Gerald Wallace, Sean May and Keith Bogans -- who will deliver them to patients at Presbyterian’s Hemby Children’s Hospital on Thursday, February 2.

"This has been a difficult period for many Bobcats players who are recovering from injuries and we wanted to use this game as an opportunity for the Bobcats organization to say thank you to our fans for all of their support," said Bobcats President and Chief Operating Officer Ed Tapscott. "This is also a chance for us all to remember the many children who are recovering from illness and injury at Hemby Children's Hospital, away from the public spotlight."

There was also a pregame autograph session with the Bobcats injured players from 6:15-7:00 p.m. throughout the arena concourse.

Fans can also send get-well wishes to their favorite Bobcats player today.
