Bobcats Lower Season Ticket Prices In 2006-07
In 2006-07, season ticket prices will drop on average 38 percent in the Upper Level and an average of 14 percent throughout Charlotte Bobcats Arena, from current 2005-06 season ticket prices. 11,581 season tickets have dropped in price, covering 70 percent of the arena bowl. All season ticket prices for the 2006-07 season remain the same or have been lowered. Individual and partial plan ticket pricing will remain unchanged for the 2006-07 season.
“Over the past few months, the Bobcats management team and ownership group have listened to our fans, conducted market research and solicited feedback from the Charlotte community,” said Robert L. Johnson, Bobcats Sports & Entertainment majority owner. “We learned that to broaden our fan base we needed to offer better value in a variety of ways, from lower prices in some cases to additional amenities in others. We heard what our fans were saying.”
The introduction of new season ticket prices coincides with the tipoff of the Bobcats’ season ticket renewal process for the 2006-07 season, which begins today and concludes on March 27. Fans wishing to become new Season Ticket Holders for the 2006-07, can place a deposit and receive complimentary tickets to six games of their choice during the remainder of the 2005-06 season, in the Bobcats new PICK 6 IN ’06 program.
“Bob asked us to help the organization identify how we could better connect with the community on a variety of fronts,” said Nelson Schwab, a Charlottean who is active in a number of civic projects and a member of the Bobcats Sports & Entertainment Ownership Group. “Price and value were issues that we needed to address. We wanted to provide our most loyal fans with the best benefit packages possible while building a winning franchise in Charlotte. That’s why we concentrated so much on giving the best value to Season Ticket Holders.”
