THE RESULT
The Bobcats (4-28) were able to get off to a better start against Pacers (21-12) compared to Sunday and held a 28-23 lead after the first quarter; unfortunately, they were unable to sustain the lead, as the Pacers pulled away for a 102-88 win on February 22 at Time Warner Cable Arena®.

TURNING POINTS
After holding the 28-23 lead at the end of one, the Bobcats were outscored 27-14 in the second quarter and faced a 50-42 halftime deficit… Charlotte fought back in the third quarter to tie it, 62-62, on a D.J. Augustin 3-pointer with 5:56 left. However, the Pacers ended the quarter on a 16-6 run to take a 78-68 lead entering the fourth quarter, and the Bobcats could not make one final run.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Even though the rebounded better, the Pacers still got the best of the Bobcats on the boards as they outrebounded Charlotte, 57-46…. Neither team shot the ball very well as the Bobcats were 31 of 88 (35.2 percent), while the Pacers were 34 of 85 (40.0 percent)… A part of the reason for the Pacers struggles from the field was the defensive play inside the paint by the Bobcats… Led by Bismack Biyombo (six blocks), the team rejected 13 total shots, while the Pacers were only able to block seven…. Both teams took advantage of their trips to the free throw line, with Indiana converting on 27 of 32 (84.4 percent), while the Bobcats hit 18 of 23 (78.3 percent), including only missing one of their last 12 attempts.

BOBCATS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Bismack Biyombo continued his strong play since being installed into the starting lineup nine games ago. Biyombo finished the game with 10 rebounds, nine points and six blocks.

BOBCATS TOP RESERVE
Kemba Walker has not missed since moving back to the bench with the return of D.J. Augustin. Walker finished the night with 14 points, five assists and two steals.

PACERS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Tyler Hansbrough had a huge game as the former North Carolina star made the return to his home state. Hansbrough finished with 22 points and nine rebounds; six that came in the offensive end.

INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM
"We want to win. I always say we’re in the win business, so it’s been very tough on all of us not to win ballgames. I do want to develop the young guys, that’s what this whole thing is about. I’m going to play those guys, but if I have a chance to win I’m going to play the guys that are doing well out there."
- Bobcats Head coach Paul Silas on the team’s outlook entering the second half of the season

"It is getting a lot better. I work extremely hard on improving. The coaches and I, we work every day. I am always one of the first guys in the gym. I just have to continue to get better."
- Bobcats Center Bismack Biyombo on his improvements on the offensive end

GAME NOTES
Corey Maggette (20) and D.J. Augustin (15) each reached double-figures and were the two catalysts behind the Bobcats good start… Gerald Henderson (hamstring) and Byron Mullens (viral infection) were inactive… The Bobcats should be back to full strength after the All-Star Game on February 26.

NEXT UP
The Bobcats will be off until next Wednesday due to the All-Star Game. Kemba Walker will be in action in Orlando at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, as he will participate in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge. Join us for the live chat at bobcats.com.
