Gerald Henderson stepped up big in the first half for the Bobcats, scoring 16 of his 23 points in the first two quarters. Henderson’s 23 points marked a season high for the guard who was out for a month due to a foot injury. He also had five assists, four rebounds and a block.

Ramon Sessions scored all 17 of his points, including 3-for-4 shooting from 3-point territory, in the second half as he tried to pull the Bobcats back to a manageable deficit. Sessions made all six of his free throw attempts, but only had one assist in 22 minutes.

THE RESULT
Despite a season-high 23 points from Gerald Henderson and Bismack Biyombo’s first double-double of the season (12 points, 14 rebounds), the Bobcats fell to Golden State, 100-115, on December 21. The Warriors made 14 3-pointers to put the contest out of reach for the Cats.

TURNING POINTS
After trading baskets early in the game, the Bobcats tied the game at 22-22 in the first quarter on a Kemba Walker layup… The Warriors responded by going on a 17-2 run to end the first and begin the second. Golden State held the lead the rest of the way… The Cats pulled within one in the second quarter after Walker sank a 3-pointer but couldn’t regain the lead… In the second half, every time Charlotte made a run, the Warriors responded with a barrage of 3-pointers.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Warriors could not be stopped from long range. Golden State shot 51.8 percent from the field and made 14 3-pointers, led by eight from Stephen Curry… The Bobcats struggled to find a rhythm on the offensive end, shooting just 36.7 percent on the game… The Bobcats focused on taking care of the ball, only committing seven turnovers… The Cats also did a good job of getting to the charity stripe with 35 free throw attempts to the Warriors 16 attempts.

David Lee looked nearly unstoppable as he notched his third career triple-double. Lee finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

GAME NOTES
Ben Gordon did not play tonight due to right knee discomfort … Kemba Walker scored in double figures for the 13th game in a row. Walker finished with 16 points (4-for-7 from beyond the arc), six assists and a steal… Big man Bismack Biyombo finished with his first double-double of the season. He had 12 points and dominated the boards with 14 rebounds… Rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist filled the stat sheet for the Cats once again, finishing with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block… Hakim Warrick also had season-best nine points and six rebounds in 23 minutes… Jeff Adrien scored his first point as a Bobcat after sinking a free throw late in the game… For the Warriors, Stephen Curry finished with 27 points (9-for-17 shooting), including eight 3-pointers.
