THE RESULT
Kemba Walker scored 28 points as the Bobcats wrapped up their 2012-13 road schedule with a 113-93 loss on April 12 in Detroit. Josh McRoberts added 17 and Gerald Henderson followed with 15 as the Cats finished 6-35 away from Time Warner Cable® Arena.

TURNING POINTS
Charlotte started off strong behind nine points from Gerald Henderson in the first quarter and took a 30-23 into the second quarter… Kemba Walker poured in 18 points in the second frame, but no other Bobcat player had more than three points in the quarter as the Pistons outscored Charlotte, 36-23, behind 17 points from Jonas Jerebko… Charlotte trailed by seven late in the third, but the Pistons closed the quarter on a 12-5 run and opened the fourth with a 3-pointer from Khris Middleton to push the lead to 90-73, and the Cats would not recover.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Charlotte opened the game 13-for-20 (65.0 percent) from the field in the first quarter but went just 22-for-58 (37.9 percent) the rest of the way. Detroit finished the game 43-for-83 (51.8 percent) from the field… The Cats were outrebounded, 45-33, including a 15-9 advantage for Detroit on the offensive glass… The Bobcats could not contain the Pistons in the paint, where Andre Drummond (15 points) and Greg Monroe (12) helped give Detroit a 58-28 edge… Charlotte turned it over 24 times to the Pistons 22, but Detroit turned the Cats miscues into 29 points, while the Bobcats could only manage 18 points off turnovers… The Pistons held a 26-14 advantage in fast break points.

Jonas Jerebko led the Pistons with 21 points, including 17 in the second quarter as Detroit took the lead. He also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out an assist, swiped a steal and blocked a shot.

GAME NOTES
Starters Gerald Henderson (nine points), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (seven), Josh McRoberts (six) and Bismack Biyombo (two) combined for 24 points in the first quarter but totaled just 23 points in the second through fourth quarters… Kemba Walker scored 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field, 3-for-4 shooting from long range and 3-for-3 shooting from the charity stripe in the second quarter. Ben Gordon (three points) and Jeff Adrien (two) were the only other two Cats to score in the quarter… Detroit had 31 assists on 43 made baskets, while Charlotte managed 18 dimes on 35 buckets… Byron Mullens (ankle) Ramon Sessions (MCL sprain) and Brendan Haywood (foot) were out for the Bobcats.
