TURNING POINTS
After going on a run late in the second half, the Bobcats pulled the game within 10 points after Michael Kidd-Gilchrist converted on a three-point play… The Cats couldn’t keep the same momentum as the second half began, allowing the Pacers to open up an 18-point lead while going on a 10-2 run. From that point, the Pacers did a good job of not allowing Cats to get in an offensive rhythm and close the lead.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Bobcats had a tough time offensively against one of the best defensive teams in the league. The Cats shot 34.7 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from long-range. The Pacers owned the paint, outrebounding the Cats, 60-31, and adding 52 points in the paint to the Cats 22. The Pacers also grabbed 18 offensive rebounds, leading to 26 second-chance points… The Bobcats defense continues to improve, forcing the Pacers to turn the ball over 16 times and only allowing them to shoot 41.4 percent from the floor. The Cats also grabbed eight steals and turned away six shots.

BOBCATS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Gerald Henderson scored in double-figures for the third straight game. Henderson scored 10 points in the second half, finishing with 15 points and a team-high three assists.

BOBCATS TOP RESERVE
After only scoring seven points against the Pacers last week, Ramon Sessions stepped up scoring eight consecutive points as the Cats went on a run at the end of the second quarter. Sessions finished with 13 points, including 7-for-8 from the free-throw line, with two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

PACERS PLAYER OF THE GAME
After missing the last game against the Bobcats due to illness, Paul George finished with a double-double. He had 16 points and 10 rebounds, along with three assists and two steals.

INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM
"It’s difficult because when you get down, a lot of things have to go right. You have to score, you have to get stops and they have to miss shots. It’s not like if you’re close the whole game, maybe behind (a little), you can score a couple of buckets and be right in the game. You have to play great defense and play really good offense too. It’s tough. You’re kind of fighting uphill all game."

"At halftime we knew we were getting beat on the boards severely, so we addressed that with our bigs, making some moves in there. The second thing is that a lot of those transition run-outs they were getting were shot balance; in other words, we were kind of hanging out in the corners and the twos and threes needed to protect each other and that didn’t happen in the first half."

GAME NOTES
Kemba Walker re-aggravated his left ankle suffered the previous night in Boston during the second quarter but was able to return in the second half. Walker finished with 13 points, three steals, one rebound and one assist… Michael Kidd-Gilchrist contributed positively on the defensive end with five rebounds, a steal and a block to go with four points and an assist… In a tough night on the boards, big men Bismack Biyombo and Jeff Adrien both had six rebounds while Biyombo added five points and Adrien added four… Byron Mullens (ankle) was inactive.
