Gerald Henderson scored 12 of the Bobcats 30 first-quarter points as he went on to score 24 points on 12-for-19 shooting. Henderson also dished out three assists, swiped three steals and pulled down two rebounds.

KEMBA WALKER
Kemba Walker continued to impress offensively with 15 points and a team-high five assists. Walker went 3-for-5 from 3-point territory while snagging five rebounds and three steals.

Cats vs. Clippers First Half
THE RESULT
The Bobcats came out hot against one of the top teams in the West but couldn’t hold on in the second half as the Clippers went on to a 106-84 victory on February 26 in Los Angeles. Gerald Henderson led the Cats with a season-high-tying 24 points, while Kemba Walker poured in 15 points of his own.

TURNING POINTS
After the Clippers scored off of the opening tip, the Cats responded with a 10-0 run and never trailed in the first quarter. The Bobcats lost a little momentum going into halftime while the Clippers found their offense, taking their first lead since the opening seconds at 43-42 and finishing the half on a 15-3 run… The Clippers came out of halftime with the same intensity and pushed their lead to as many as 19 in the third quarter. The Cats traded baskets with the Clippers for a while, but couldn’t get crucial stops on defense to reel the score back in.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
After scoring 30 points in the first quarter, the Cats couldn’t maintain the energy, only putting up 15 and 18 points in the second and third frames, respectively... After shooting 59.1 percent in the first half, the Bobcats finished the game shooting 40.7 percent and 37.5 percent from long range. The Clippers on the other hand, came out slow and got better as the game progressed, shooting 53.9 percent for the game and 54.5 percent from beyond the arc. The Clippers distributed the ball well, with 34 assists on 41 made baskets… Both teams competed on the break with the Clippers edging out the Cats, 22-21, in fast-break points. For a team that likes to finish near the rim, it’s no surprise the Clippers managed 48 points in the paint compared to the Bobcats 32. The Clippers also had the edge in rebounds (43-37) and points off turnovers (20-13).

CLIPPERS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Blake Griffin had another high-flying night, finishing with 24 points on 11-for-14 shooting. Griffin also tallied seven rebounds, six assists and a block.

GAME NOTES
Ramon Sessions led the bench in scoring with 11 points while going 5-for-6 from the charity stripe and dishing out three assists… Josh McRoberts tallied his first points as a Bobcat, finishing in double figures with 10 points and three rebounds in seven minutes. McRoberts made all three of his field goal attempts, including two 3-pointers… Byron Mullens nearly tallied a double-double with 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
