In three NBA seasons, is shooting .414 from the field (834-2014), .382 (289-757) from beyond the three- point line and .876 from the free-throw line (579-661)... Is the team’s career leader in free-throw percentage... In 2010-11, Finished the season ranked fourth in the NBA in free-throw percentage, sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.21) and 19th in assists, and was the only player in the league with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.0 or better and averages of at least 25.0 minutes, at least 5.0 assists and fewer than 2.0 turnovers...Named to the 2008-09 All-Rookie Second Team after averaging 11.8 points, 3.5 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 26.5 minutes in 72 games played as a rookie... Ranked sixth in the NBA in free-throw percentage (.890) and tied for ninth in three-point percentage (.439) in his first season, while leading all NBA rookies in free-throw percentage and ranking second in three-point percentage, fourth in assists, eighth in scoring and ninth in minutes played... Selected as the Southeast Division winner for the 2010-11 NBA Sportsmanship Award.

Full name is Darryl Gerard Augustin Jr.… Parents gave him the name “D.J.” at birth (stands for Darryl Jr.)… Son of Darryl and Vanessa Augustin… Has two older sisters, Mia and Greer… Spent first three years of high school at Brother Martin in New Orleans before being forced to relocate to the Houston area due to Hurricane Katrina… Played his senior season at Fort Bend Hightower before returning to New Orleans to receive his high school diploma from Brother Martin… Majored in education… Favorite food is salmon… Also plays the drums.
