Tamar Slay Undergoes Successful Ankle Arthroscopic Surgery

Bobcats forward Tamar Slay underwent successful left ankle arthroscopic surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2004-05 season. The surgery was performed at Presbyterian Hospital by Dr. Bob Anderson.

Slay appeared in eight games this season and averaged 3.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in 9.8 minutes. He was placed on the injured list on December 14 and has missed the last 43 games. Slay was placed on the injured list one other time this season from November 16 to November 27.

The 6-8, 220-pound forward signed with the Bobcats as a free agent on July 14, 2004, after spending the first two years of his NBA career in New Jersey.
