The Bobcats took part in the 2004 Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue from July 16-24 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joining the Bobcats and host Utah Jazz in the event were the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs and Seattle Sonics. Behind the strong play of Jason Kapono and Primoz Brezec, Charlotte finished the Revue with a 5-2 record and completed summer league play with a 10-2 mark.

    KAPONO NAMED REVUE MVP
    Jason Kapono was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2004 Reebook Rocky Mountain Revue after averaging 16.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in leading Charlotte to a 5-2 record.


    JULY 23: BOBCATS ROLL PAST JAZZ IN FINALE
    Primoz Brezec had 21 points and Melvin Ely added 19 as the Bobcats wrapped up play in the Rocky Mountain Revue with an 80-63 win over the host Utah Jazz on Friday night.


    JULY 22: BOBCATS SUFFER 2ND LOSS OF SUMMER
    The Bobcats dropped to 4-2 in the Rocky Mountain Revue with an 89-86 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night despite a 32-point effort from Jason Kapono. Loren Woods added a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.


    JULY 21: ELY POWERS BOBCATS PAST MAVERICKS
    Melvin Ely had a game-high 21 points as the Bobcats broke open a close game early in the fourth quarter and improved to 4-1 in the Rocky Mountain Revue with an 87-76 win against Dallas on Wednesday night. Jason Kapono added 14 points for Charlotte.


    JULY 20: BREZEC STARS IN THIRD STRAIGHT WIN
    The Bobcats took control in the second quarter and never looked back in a 79-63 win over Indiana in the Rocky Mountain Revue on Tuesday. Primoz Brezec paced the Bobcats with 23 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks against his former team.


    JULY 18: BREZEC LEADS BOBCATS PAST SONICS
    Primoz Brezec had 17 points and seven rebounds on Sunday night as the Bobcats improved to 2-1 in the Rocky Mountain Revue with an 85-63 victory over the Seattle Sonics. Jason Kapono (14) and Danny Johnson (13) also scored in double figures for Charlotte.


    JULY 17: BOBCATS TOP SPURS TO EVEN MARK
    Jason Kapono scored a game-high 21 points as the Bobcats evened their record in the Rocky Mountain Revue at 1-1 with a 74-61 victory over San Antonio on Saturday afternoon. Maurice Carter added 17 points on 7-10 from the field.


    JULY 16: BOBCATS SUFFER FIRST LOSS OF SUMMER
    The Bobcats lost for the first time this summer in the opening game of the Rocky Mountain Revue on Friday afternoon -- 87-62 to the Atlanta Hawks. Maurice Carter led Charlotte with 15 points. Loren Woods added 13 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots.


    OMAR COOK ADDED TO REVUE ROSTER
    The Bobcats have added former Portland Trail Blazers point guard Omar Cook to their summer league roster for the 2004 Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue.

    MINNESOTA SUMMER LEAGUE RECAP
    In their first-ever on-the-court action, the Bobcats traveled to Minneapolis and returned with a perfect 5-0 record in the Minnesota Summer League. The Bobcats defeated Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Minnesota and Toronto. Several players turned in impressive statistical performances led by Gerald Wallaces 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.2 assists.
