Carroll was signed by the Bobcats on February 23 and was immediately placed on the injured list with a sprained right index finger. He topped the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) with 20.1 points in 24 games for Roanoke and also averaged 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 31.7 minutes. He scored an NBDL season-high 43 points against the Florida Flame on February 9 and was named NBDL Player of the Month in January after averaging 22.3 points.
The 6-6, 212 pound guard also connected on .503 percent from the field (177-352) and .605 percent from the three-point line (23-38), despite the NBDL’s experimental rule that prohibits three-point field goals from counting until the last three minutes of each quarter and during an overtime period.
Rush has appeared in 34 games (22 starts) since joining the Bobcats and averaged 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and connected on .386 percent from the three-point line in 25.8 minutes. Rush suffered the knee injury with 8:38 left in the third quarter of the March 3 game at New Orleans. Rush was acquired by the Bobcats from the L.A. Lakers on December 6, 2004, for two second round draft picks in 2005 and 2008.
