The Bobcats participated in the inaugural Minnesota Summer League at the Target Center from July 6-10. In addition to the Bobcats and Timberwolves, the NBA Champion Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors fielded squads. The summer league featured a schedule of three games on each day, with every team playing each other once over the course of the event. Led by impressive performances from Gerald Wallace (16.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 56.9% FGs) and Loren Woods (10.0 ppg, 9.4 rpg), the Bobcats finished with a 5-0 record.

    GAME 5: BOBCATS 78, PISTONS 74
    The Bobcats capped an undefeated week with a 78-74 win over Detroit. Gerald Wallace led the way once again with 23 points and Loren Woods added a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

    GAME 4: BOBCATS 96, SIXERS 81
    Gerald Wallace scored a game-best 29 points and the Bobcats rolled to their fourth consecutive victory in the Minnesota Summer League with a 96-81 win over Philadelphia.

    GAME 3: BOBCATS 74, BUCKS 63
    Tamar Slay scored 11 points and Corey Benjamin added 10 off the bench as Charlotte improved its record to 3-0 with a 74-63 win over Milwaukee on Thursday at the Minnesota Summer League.

    GAME 2: BOBCATS 81, WOLVES 76
    Charlotte won its second game in as many nights at the Minnesota Summer League on Wednesday, defeating the host Timberwolves by an 81-76 margin. Six players scored eight or more points, paced by Gerald Wallace’s 16 points.

    GAME 1: BOBCATS 69, RAPTORS 53
    The Charlotte Bobcats took the court for the first time in franchise history on Tuesday night, and came away with a victory in their initial game, defeating the Toronto Raptors in the Minnesota Summer League at Target Center, 69-53. Tamar Slay led the way with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting.
