The process of constructing an NBA team is similar to building a new arena. Months of planning will create the foundation of a franchise that will one become of Charlotte’s newest icons. INAUGURAL ROSTER BEGINS WITH 19 EXPANSION PICKS
The Bobcats began the process of building their inaugural team by picking 19 players in the Charlotte Expansion Selection. The Bobcats selected 10 players under contract and nine restricted free agents. By the rules of the Expansion Agreement, the restricted free agents will become unrestricted free agents on July 1.
