
BOBCATS MAKE HOLIDAY HOSPITAL VISIT
December 21, 2006 - Children at Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital received an early gift, as Bobcats Brevin Knight and Bernard Robinson and Rufus Claus stopped by the hospital to talk to the kids, sign some autographs, pass out Bobcats goodie bags and most importantly bring some of the biggest and brightest smiles to all the kids’ faces.
FELTON LENDS A HAND IN COMMUNITY
December 19, 2006 - Raymond Felton paid a visit to the Epic International Center, teaming with Feed the Children and Second Harvest Food Bank to distribute boxes of food and household goods as part of the Bobcats continuing 2006 Season of Giving.
BOBCATS HOST HOLIDAY PARTY FOR KIDS
December 17, 2006 - The Bobcats hosted a Holiday Party for Kids at the Extravaganza Depot. Admission for the children of Season Ticket Holders was an unwrapped toy to donate to a local non-profit agency.
DONATION MADE TO PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL COMMUNITY CARE CRUISER
December 15, 2006 - The Charlotte Jumper Classic, the signature fundraising event for the Bobcats Charitable Foundation, has donated $50,000 to its 2006 event beneficiary, Presbyterian Hemby Children’s Hospital. The donation has been earmarked to help fund the Presbyterian Hospital Community Care Cruiser.
BOBCATS HOST READING TIMEOUT AT IMAGINON
December 5, 2006 - The balcony at ImaginOn was closed as 60 students from First Ward Elementary entered anxiously to see which Bobcats players were waiting for their arrival. The excitement was evident on each child’s face when they saw that some of their favorite Bobcats made it out to ImaginOn for a Holiday Reading Timeout.
JR. BOBCATS HOLD YOUTH COACHES' CLINIC
December 4, 2006 - The Jr. Bobcats Program hosted its first of two Coach’s Clinics for the season for approximately 115 youth basketball coaches of all experience levels that coach in a Jr. Bobcats member league.
OKAFOR LAUNCHES AFRICAN INITIATIVE TO SAVE LIVES
November 30, 2006 - Emeka Okafor -- 2005 NBA Rookie of the Year and Charlotte Bobcats star -- announced the launch of his new One Million African Lives Initiative (“Million Lives Initiative”) in partnership with the Safe Blood for Africa Foundation (SBFA) in Washington D.C.
FOURTH ANNUAL STREET TURKEYS A SUCCESS
November 22, 2006 - Over $26,663 in cash contributions, along with 350 turkeys and 6,000 pounds in canned goods were collected as the Bobcats and WFNZ/Sports Radio 610 AM/1660 AM teamed up to collect and distribute food to those in need over the holidays.

November 13, 2006 - Bobcats guard Matt Carroll made a special appearance at the NWBA Tournament at Providence Day School as the Charlotte Rollin' Bobcats opened their season with the second annual Charlotte Shootout wheelchair basketball tournament.
FELTON BECOMES A BIG BROTHER
November 9, 2006 - Raymond Felton announced on November 9 that he is teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Charlotte. In an effort to bring awareness to the organization, Felton will not only appear in a new multimedia campaign for TV and print, but he will be a Big Brother as well.

October 23, 2006 - The first annual Bobcats Fan Jam presented by ClearChannel Radio was a success, as fans had the opportunity to mingle with players and catch a team scrimmage at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.

October 21, 2006 - The Bobcats Painted the Town Orange at Concord Mills Mall on Saturday, signing autographs and snapping pictures with fans in attendance. Everyone showed their Bobcats pride by wearing their orange to the event.
BOBCATS HOST THIRD ANNUAL COOL SCHOOL EVENT
October 16, 2006 - More than 17,000 students and teachers from over 43 cities in North and South Carolina were at Charlotte Bobcats Arena to see the Bobcats take on the Wizards at the Bobcats Third Annual Cool School Field Trip presented by Harris Teeter and co-sponsored by Kraft.
CAROLINAS CARAVAN VISITS FOUR CITIES
September 26, 2006 - The Bobcats spread goodwill throughout four cities in North and South Carolina with their third annual Carolinas Caravan tour in September. The tour will began in Greensboro, North Carolina, on September 14, moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on September 19, went to Columbia, South Carolina on September 21, and finished up in North Mecklenburg County in North Carolina on September 26.

March 7, 2006 - It was a busy day for the students in Mrs. Reeves’ fourth grade class at Nations Ford Elementary School. After spending the morning taking a state-required writing test, the students received a special treat when Bobcats guard Raymond Felton and mascot Rufus Lynx dropped by for a visit.

February 10, 2006 - The Bobcats recognized 19 student winners of the Cool School Art and Essay Contest, presented by Harris Teeter, on February 10 at halftime of the team’s game against Toronto at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. The winners will also were treated to a pregame reception with Bobcats players.
BOBCATS HOST SPECIAL OLYMPICS CLINIC
February 10, 2006 - The joy and excitement in the athletes’ eyes was unmistakable. You could see it from the moment they entered Charlotte Bobcats Arena. It was there as they ate pizza and drank soda, courtesy of Levy Cares and then headed into the Presbyterian Training Center to participate in a basketball clinic with the Bobcats players and coaching staff. Approximately 100 Special Olympians representing eight different counties in North Carolina arrived on the court full of energy and ready to learn.

January 26, 2006 - Bobcats forward Emeka Okafor and Mascot Rufus Lynx, along with Sting guard Helen Darling and Head Coach Muggsy Bogues dropped by Reid Park Elementary on Thursday, January 26 to help reveal the Bobcats newest reading corner to the students. They also helped christen the corner by hosting a Read To Achieve Time-out presented by Discovery Place for all the third graders in the school.

January 16, 2006 - The Bobcats hosted 28 Hurricane Katrina victims as special guests for their game against the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on Monday, January 16 at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
