LITERACY AND EDUCATION
Through reading programs, special events in schools, the community and the arena, the Bobcats will promote the joy value of reading.

  3. Encouraging NBA and WNBA family participation in Read to Achieve programming.
  4. Partnering with existing community groups focused on literacy

HEALTH AND FITNESS
We strongly believe that a healthy mind, body and spirit is the cornerstone of a productive and happy life. Through the league’s Jr. NBA initiative, we will promote youth recreational basketball as a vehicle to build character, nurture sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, self-esteem, goal setting, and promote individual performance excellence.

Through strong community partnerships, the Bobcats will support efforts to nurture the creative spirit of children by leveraging arts education to improve reading and language arts development, problem solving, creative thinking, and self-esteem.
