What should I do to prepare for the tryouts?
We suggest attending one of our prep classes to prepare you to learn choreography at the audition.
What are your height and weight requirements?
There are not specific requirements, but team members are required to be in top physical shape and excellent health.
Is there an age limit or education requirement?
Dancers must be at least 18 years of age
Dancers must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.
Can my family come and watch auditions?
No, auditions are closed to the public.
What will the judges look for at auditions?
Entertainment factor and crowd appeal
Physical fitness and dance ability
Dynamic personality and excitement over Bobcats Basketball
What should I expect from the interview process?
Be prepared to introduce yourself and answer a few key questions
Be familiar with Bobcats milestones and the NBA
How should I wear my hair and fix my make-up?
Your hair and make-up should be performance quality. Go for glamour! No ponytails or bare faces please.
Will there be compensation?
Yes, dancers are paid for home games, appearances and rehearsals
What is the time commitment and is this a full-time job?
This is a part-time job that can have full-time hours during the season. Dancers must be able to commit to a full NBA game schedule as well as 2-3 rehearsals per week from August 2011 – May 2012.
Those unable to commit to rehearsals and games should not audition.
What are some of the perks of being a Lady Cat?
