|What they're saying:
Draft Express: Possibly the most impressive segment of Knight's game thus far is his ability to hit tough shots from the mid-range, where he has a variety of floaters, runners, and pull-up jumpers in his arsenal. Very crafty in getting to different areas of the floor with the ball, Knight is dangerous scoring the ball in the 5-15 foot range, where he shows excellent touch, can finish through contact, and shows pretty good consistency with his mechanics.
ESPN: Knight had a very good year at Kentucky and played well enough in the NCAA tournament to get himself drafted in the top 10. With Marquis Teague coming in next season, he risks being moved to an off-guard position and watching his draft stock plummet. Scouts still have questions about his position and upside, but in a draft that is weak on point guards, he should be the second or third point off the board.
NBADraft.net: Big point guard with excellent size and speed and scoring ability Extremely fast player who excels pushing the ball up the court . Has a tremendous first step to get by opponents off the dribble Strong one on one player Excellent at driving to the basket, good body control, and a quality finisher on the move Very creative passer Quick decision maker A fierce competitor, really steps his level of play up in big situations High motor guy. Plays with a high level of intensity and passion Strong work ethic, constantly looking to improve both his body and game His body has seen an impressive transformation from his sophomore to senior year of high school Has an excellent jumpshot with range out to 3 point Good shooter off the dribble An excellent defender who uses his length and quickness to stay in front of his man Drew 2 changes per game as a senior in high school Very smart, engaging young man with a bright future
MyNBADraft: High ability level and great scorer, can fill it up from all over the floor. A true lead guard, is very comfortable taking over the game with the ball in his hands. Knight can take it off the dribble and finish at the goal, he can pull up mid range or from deep, or score in transition. Knight has great quickness, and good strength and overall athleticism to do a lot of things, also comes with a great shooting touch so he doesnt need a lot of separation to get off a good shot. Since he is so dangerous he is also able to get good looks for his teammates and put up the assist numbers of a pg. He has great conditioning and an abundance of confidence.
