Trail Blazers Make it Better at Doernbecher Children's Hospital

Trail Blazers players are spreading their holiday spirit all over the city of Portland by hosting several special experiences to area youth in December. The latest event may have left the biggest impact.

The entire Trail Blazers team of players and coaches spent an afternoon with kids at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital on a day between home games last week. The team visited kids and their families, played games, and dropped off holiday gifts.

The team split up into groups of three players and one executive to visit kids and their families in different units of the facility. The visits took place primarily in patient rooms, with one group in the unit’s playroom, welcoming kids to join in activities.

As part of NBA Cares Season of Giving, the NBA and its teams and players will be out in their communities hosting hundreds of charitable events across the country in an effort to brighten the holidays for thousands of children and families.

Here is a collection of Tweets and Instagram posts from players, coaches and OHSU Doernbecher staff involved in the event.
