Trail Blazers to Stream Live Game Broadcasts to Fans With No Current Distribution Options
Fans seeking online viewing of Portland Trail Blazers basketball action can find live streaming of broadcasts starting November 2nd when the Trail Blazers play their first road game of the new 2012-2013 season at Oklahoma City. Games will be available live wherever Comcast SportsNet Northwest is unavailable within the NBA-approved Trail Blazers territory across Oregon and Southwest Washington, said Dick Vardanega, Senior Vice President of Digital Entertainment.
60-Game Packages go on Sale November 2nd for $99.99
“Our ultimate goal is to secure as broad a television distribution platform for Trail Blazers basketball as possible,” said Vardanega. “We view streaming as a helpful means of reaching Trail Blazers fans who have no other distribution options in the meantime.”
Portland has a history of providing online access to game broadcasts. The Trail Blazers became the first NBA franchise to begin streaming its games, dating back to the 2009-2010 season. During last year’s lockout-shortened season, the Trail Blazers provided streaming of 60 game broadcasts.
For more information about availability and purchasing of the 60-game streaming packages, fans should visit www.trailblazers.com beginning today on November 2nd. Portland has partnered with NeuLion, Inc. (TSX: NLN) to provide the streaming platform for the broadcasts of Trail Blazers basketball.
