2005 Reebok Vegas Summer League



The Portland Trail Blazers will participate in the 2005 Vegas Summer League (VSL). The VSL will take place July 6-15 at the COX Pavilion on the UNLV campus and includes sixteen NBA teams, making Las Vegas the premiere NBA summer league venue of 2005.

This is the first season that the Trail Blazers have participated in the Reebok Vegas Summer League. The tournament has expanded from six teams in last year’s inaugural event to 16 teams this year.

"This is an outstanding opportunity for the city of Las Vegas to take in NBA basketball in a professional and fun filled environment," said Washington Wizards general manager Ernie Grunfeld. "What they pulled off last year was first class and with 16 teams represented, we expect larger crowds and great games for the fans to enjoy."
