Trail Blazers Promote Read to Achieve Week

Celebrating National Read to Achieve week, Trail Blazer
Omar Cook visited with elementary students at Beach Elementary today.
Beach Elementary provides this kind of opportunity to emphasize the importance of reading to their students. Omar Cook addressed the assembly first thing in the morning before going to practice.
The students in the school were surprised by the visit and very excited to see a NBA basketball players in their school.
Omar talked about the importance of reading and what it meant to him. He also talked about his favorite books and encouraged students to spend more time reading.
