What 2 Watch 4 - Trail Blazers Vs. Jazz

Mo Williams vs. Alec Burks

Two of the game’s most impactful players tonight may not hear their names called during introductions. And they might not be on the floor for the opening tip. But by the time the final horn sounds, there’s a good chance the presence of Mo Williams and Alec Burks will be felt in the stands, on the box score and most importantly, on the scoreboard. In the 20 games that Williams has scored in double figures off the Portland bench this season, the Trail Blazers have won 17 times, a whopping 85% winning percentage. The first-year Trail Blazer has also collected more assists off the bench (229) than any other player in the league this year. And one season ago, he was wearing the uniform of tonight’s opponent, the Utah Jazz. Their sixth man, Alec Burks, has been anything but the team’s sixth-best player during the 2013-14 season. He is averaging career bests of 13.6 points (second on team), 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 53 games, but only eight starts. And he’s done some of his best work against Portland this season, when he’s averaged 18.0 points in two meetings while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor.
