The Portland Trail Blazers announced Tuesday that veteran guard
Scottie Pippen underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The surgery, which was performed by team doctor Don Roberts, took place Tuesday morning at the Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington.
Pippen, who has missed the Blazers' last four games due to swelling in the knee, is expected to be out a minimum of three weeks.
Pippen has appeared in 62 games this season, starting 57 of those contests. He is averaging 11 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 30.1 minutes this season.
The Blazers will be in action tomorrow against the Houston Rockets at the Rose Garden. The
