Call Of The Game: Meyers' Monster Slam

The voice of the Trail Blazers, Brian Wheeler, delivers the Call of the Game. Meyers Leonard returned to action after missing Portland's first five games after the All-Star break and he immediately made his impression felt. Leonard scored six first quarter points, including the game's most memorable highlight. As time was winding down in the opening quarter, Mo Williams raced down the sideline and drove to the middle of the paint before finding a cutting Leonard. The athletic big knew exactly what to do with the feed and hammered home a monster two-handed slam, even swinging on the rim a little extra longer for good measure. Leonard would end with eight points, on three-for-six shooting, and five rebounds in his 16 minutes on the court. More importantly, the Trail Blazers completed the season series sweep of the Nuggets by knocking off their division rivals by six, 102-96.
