Call Of The Game: Lillard Takes Over
The voice of the Trail Blazers, Brian Wheeler, delivers the Call of the Game.
Heading into the fourth quarter, the Trail Blazers and Jazz were tied up at 76 and Damian Lillard was still looking to leave his mark on the game. Portland's All-Star was 0-5 from the field and tallied just two points through the first three quarters, but like all the elite scorers in the league, Lillard had the ability to get hot and take over in an instant. During a 2 minute 51 second span of the fourth quarter, it was all Lillard, all the time. The Weber State product poured in 11 points, including three 3-pointers, the last giving the Trail Blazers an eight-point lead; a lead they would not relinquish. Behind Lillard's 14 fourth quarter points, Portland earned their first season series sweep of Utah in franchise history by defeating the Jazz 111-99.
