Call Of The Game: Defense Leading To Offense

The voice of the Trail Blazers, Brian Wheeler delivers the Call of the Game. Late in the second quarter, rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. drove the ball into the teeth of the Trail Blazer defense ... not a good decision. LaMarcus Aldridge wasn't having any of it and swatted the rook's lay-up into the hands of Damian Lillard who lobbed it ahead to Nicolas Batum. And the Flying Frenchman put an emphatic stamp on the play by throwing it down with two-hands. The block was Aldridge's only on the night while the dunk was just two of Batum's team-high 20. Batum added 10 rebounds to those 20 points, earning him his fourth double-double of the season to help lead his Trail Blazers past the Knicks, 94-90.
