PORTLAND, Ore., April 26 -- Portland Trail Blazers guard
Derek Anderson underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to repair the medial meniscus in his left knee Saturday morning. Dr. Don Roberts, the Blazers team physician, performed the surgery at the Southwest Washington Regional Surgery Center. The team expects Anderson to make a full recovery and has not put a timeline on his return.
Anderson tore his medial meniscus in the first quarter of the Blazers-Mavericks first round playoff game on Wednesday, April 23. Anderson left the game with 9:07 remaining in the first quarter and did not return.
The Blazers take on the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night at the Rose Garden Arena. The game can be heard live at 5 p.m. PT on KXL News radio 750.
