The Blazers welcomed Wesley Person in today's press conference. John Nash introduced Person stating, "We are delighted to have Wes here. We said we were going to bring in a player that was going to help us; there is no question that his history as a superior perimeter shooter is such that he was very attractive to us. Instead of making a statement Person fielded questions from local reporters. Questions ranged from Person’s feelings regarding the trade, to future family plans.

“I just want to go out there and play the game like it’s suppose to be played; work hard at practice, stay late, get exercise. Try to be a professional, go out and do the right thing, not only on the court but off as well”

Person was then presented with his Blazers jersey.

Person spend his first day helping with the Blazers Holiday Express, meeting with the press, and attending his first practice.
