Updated Statement Regarding Woods

October 15, 2004

Trail Blazers President Steve Patterson released the following statement today regarding the issuing of a second search warrant on the house of Qyntel Woods:

"Today’s development is obviously another step in the ongoing investigation of Qyntel Woods. The Trail Blazers organization continues our own investigation and we are cooperating fully with authorities in this serious matter. Qyntel remains suspended from the team because of the allegations made against him involving his participation in dog fighting and the five other incidents involving Qyntel and the police since February 2003. If further steps are needed, we will not hesitate to take them."
