Trail Blazers sweep Clippers in Los Angeles

Two nights, two wins against the Clippers.

Joel Przybilla and LaMarcus Aldridge once again dominated the paint to lead the Trail Blazers to an 83-72 victory in Los Angeles.

Przybilla grabbed a career-high 25 rebounds and added 14 points, while Aldridge notched his second straight double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Brandon Roy led the Trail Blazers with 23 points and added six assists and three steals. Steve Blake led the Trail Blazers with seven assists and did not turn the ball over.

The Trail Blazers once again relied heavily on their starting five. Aldridge, Roy, Przybilla, Steve Blake and Martell Webster scored 151 of the Trail Blazers' 190 points during the home-and-home against the Clippers.

Aldridge notched consecutive double-doubles for the third time this season, and the second time this month.

This victory earned the Trail Blazers a sweep of the season series against the Clippers. The Trail Blazers have now won three of their last four games, while the Clippers have lost seven straight.

This game was a startling change from last night's match-up. While both teams shot over 55% from the field in the first game, neither team reached 40% in this game. The two teams combined to make 17 of 31 attempts from three-point range Friday night, while they combined to shoot 5-for-30 in this game.

The Clippers were led by 21 points from Corey Maggette, who did not play on Friday. Maggette also grabbed seven rebounds. Josh Powell played well again with 13 points and 10 rebounds after scoring a career-high 21 points on Friday.

Przybilla found motivation for his career night in his disappointing rebounding performance on Friday, when he gathered just three rebounds.

"When we played last night at home I only had a few rebounds," Przybilla said. "I was disappointed with myself because that wasn't me. Tonight I wanted to try and just get every rebound I could."

The Trail Blazers next game is Monday night in Seattle, where they will face Kevin Durant and the SuperSonics.

The game is at 7:00pm and will be broadcast on KGW and, as always, 750am KXL.
