The Portland Trail Blazers waived center
Vladimir Stepania.
The 7-foot, 244-pound Stepania saw action in one 2004-05 pre-season game, scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds in only 15 minutes of action on October 27th vs. Toronto, before being placed on the Injured List.
Stepania, 28, appeared in 42 games for the Trail Blazers last season after being signed as a free agent on October 22, 2003. He averaged 2.6ppg and 3.0rpg.

return to action against the San Antonio Spurs in the Rose Garden on Thursday, December 30th. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
