The Portland Trail Blazers have announced today that the team has suspended forward
Qyntel Woods without pay, pending the club's investigation regarding allegations by Multnomah County for dog abandonment and by Clackamas County for dog fighting.
The club's investigation will include a more detailed and hopefully, forthcoming conversation with Qyntel.
"We are deeply disturbed by the developments in this case and we believe that suspending Qyntel is warranted and necessary," said Trail Blazers President Steve Patterson. "We have said from the beginning that we are taking this situation very seriously. This organization will not accept this type of behavior and if these allegations prove to be true, and if further steps are needed, we will not hesitate to take them. These allegations are deeply disturbing to us and we know our fans feel the same way."
