The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Center
Slavko Vranes to a 10-day contract. The 7-foot-5 Vranes was selected by the New York Knicks in the second round (39th pick overall) of the 2003 NBA Draft after spending the 2002-2003 season with Buducnost in Serbia & Montenegro.
He spent this season on the Injured List before being waived by the Knicks on December 24. Vranes will wear #29 and will be in uniform when the Blazers visit the Seattle Supersonics tonight at 7pm.
Vranes will replace Forward
Travis Outlaw on the Blazers active roster. Outlaw has been placed on the Injured List with Bilateral Patellar Tendonitis.
