The Trail Blazers lost one of their own last Friday, June 4 when Sgt. Justin Eyerly was killed in action in Iraq while on patrol near Baghdad's Sadr City.

Justin was hired as a Rose Quarter security agent in July of 2002. Then in the Summer of 2003, he began working as an intern in the Trail Blazers Internet Marketing department where he assisted in designing and creating website content.

His coworkers recall Justin as an intelligent, professional and likeable young man who was putting himself through college at Portland State University by working for the Trail Blazers and serving in the National Guard.

While in the Internet Marketing department, Justin was known for his creativity and professionalism. He was a talented and dedicated individual who gave 100% effort every day.
