The Portland Trail Blazers announced their 2005-06 preseason schedule today. Four of the eight preseason games are scheduled for the Rose Garden and one at the University of Oregon's MacArthur Court in Eugene.
The exhibition schedule begins with a Wednesday, Oct. 12 game against Northwest Division rival Seattle Sonics at the Rose Garden. The game will be Nate McMillan's first as the Trail Blazers' head coach and the first against his former team, the SuperSonics. Portland closes out the preseason schedule against Seattle Oct. 28 in Spokane.
The schedule also takes Portland to the Mexican border and into Canada. The Trail Blazers travel to El Paso, Tex., on Oct. 15 to take on the Denver Nuggets and are in Winnipeg, Manitoba Oct. 24 to play the Toronto Raptors.
The Trail Blazers finished the 2004 preseason campaign with a record of 4-4.
