Sign up for the 2008 Trail Blazers Street Jam
The Trail Blazers will Make It Better for Special Olympics Oregon at the Trail Blazers Street Jam at the Rose Quarter, July 18-20. Trail Blazers Street Jam, which is presented by adidas, is Oregon’s premier three-on-three basketball tournament. All proceeds from the event will go to Special Olympics Oregon. Trail Blazers forward Martell Webster will again serve as Honorary Chairman of the event.
As the fastest growing three-on-three tournament in Oregon, Trail Blazers Street Jam is more than just basketball, it has become a destination: in addition to the more than 50 competition areas on the Rose Quarter campus, the event features interactive entertainment, food booths, and a festive atmosphere that promotes exceptional family fun while supporting the Gold Standard of all charitable causes, Special Olympics Oregon. For the second consecutive year, the weekend tips off with Joe’s Sports and Outdoors Corporate Challenge, a one-day competition that pits business versus business. The Challenge is one of the fastest growing components of Trail Blazers Street Jam—57 teams have already signed up for the 64-team field. Hurry to sign up your team today. The day wraps up with a corporate VIP reception and an awards ceremony for the participants. The fun gets going full-speed Saturday as more than 500 teams will begin competing for championships in nine divisions. In addition to some of the best players in Oregon and Southwest Washington, the Trail Blazers Street Jam also has the best officiating as it has certified referees on each court. In addition to the tournament play, Trail Blazers Street Jam also features the adidas Hot Shot Competition, Joe’s Sports and Outdoor three-point shootout, McDonald’s Kids Clinic, and the always popular Miller Paint Slam Dunk Contest. Registration is up and running for basketball players of all ages and abilities, including the corporate challenge, on-line at www.trailblazersstreetjam.com or you can register your team by phone at 877-266-5808. Registration is $125 for a three-to-five person team.
