In a second draft day trade, the Portland Trail Blazers swapped their 27th pick, Linas Kleiza and their 35th pick, Ricky Sanchez, to Denver and acquired
Jarrett Jack. Jack was selected in the first round at the 22nd pick by the Denver Nuggets.
Jack is a 6-3, 202 guard out of Georgia Tech and was an early entry candidate into the 2005 NBA Draft. Jack was the sixth player in school history to record 1,000 points and 500 assists. He started every game of his collegiate career except Senior Day at Georgia Tech.
