Blazer Ruben Patterson sent a message to fans before returning to the Blazers line-up for the New Jersey Nets game.

"This is a very difficult time for my family and I. I’m sorry for the embarrassment and distraction this causes my team, the organization, the fans, and especially, my family."

"I would like to ask that we be allowed to work through this difficult situation privately. Please understand and respect that I cannot have anything further to say at this time."
