Rose Quarter Security Update

GUESTS ADVISED TO ARRIVE EARLY AT BLAZERS GAMES

December 22, 2003 - Portland, Ore.

The Rose Garden arena management will be adding increased security measures for the safety of guests after the announcement this weekend that the country was moving to Orange Alert. Fans are advised to arrive at least an hour before tip off and are discouraged from bringing in hand bags and backpacks. Doors to the Rose Garden open an hour and a half before every game.

“With the country moving to Orange Alert, our first concern is for the safety of our guests, staff and athletes,” said Steve Patterson, Blazers president. “We are encouraging guests to come early to games, and we will work hard to minimize delays into the building while still ensuring everyone’s safety.”
