Randolph Placed On Injured List

Randolph The Portland Trail Blazers have placed forward Zach Randolph on the Injured List with a Bone Contusion of the Right Knee.

Randolph originally suffered the injury on January 12th at Washington and has sat out 12 of the Trail Blazers 25 games, including the last five contests, since suffering the injury. He is averaging 18.9ppg and 9.6rpg, both team highs.

Anderson Randolph's roster spot will be taken by guard Derek Anderson, who was activated from the Injured List.

Anderson was placed on the Injured List with Back Spasms on February 23rd and missed nine games. He is averaging 9.6ppg and 2.9rpg in 43 games this season.

In other news, forward Darius Miles did not travel with the team when the Trail Blazers left yesterday for a three-game roadtrip. Miles was excused to attend to a family medical situation.

The Trail Blazers return to the Rose Garden this Saturday, March 19 to take on the Orlando Magic. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m.
