PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Trail Blazers have come to terms with three players selected in last week’s NBA Draft including center Greg Oden, the No. 1 overall selection. Portland also signed second round picks Duke forward Josh McRoberts and Florida guard Taurean Green. Finnish guard Petteri Koponen has also agreed to participate as a part of the Trail Blazers' summer league team in Las Vegas.

"When I signed my contract I felt like an official NBA player," joked Oden. "They showed me everything and the amount looked pretty good."

Terms of Oden’s deal were not disclosed, but according to the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement, Oden’s contract will be for two years, with the Trail Blazers having the right to pick up options for years three and four.

Oden will join with LaMarcus Aldridge, Martell Webster and Sergio Rodriguez to headline Portland’s Summer League team, which begins play Friday against the Boston Celtics in Las Vegas.

"He’s great," said Aldridge. "He’s an amazing shot blocker. He goes down low, works hard and finishes strong. He dunked everything around the rim, so I’m just excited to play with him."

Koponen, who was the last pick in the first round, signed a waiver that will allow him to play summer league. McRoberts and Green will also participate in Portland’s five-game summer league schedule.

"We’ll see after summer league what will happen," said Koponen. "This is my dream to be here and play in the NBA and practice with very good players, so of course I want to stay here."

Portland also has summer league battles set with the Dallas Mavericks (July 9), LA Lakers (July 11), and Phoenix Suns (July 14) before closing with Kevin Durant and the Seattle SuperSonics (July 15).

"This should be one of the best summer league team’s that’s ever been. It’s pretty amazing," said Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen, who attended Portland’s first summer league practice on Sunday.

All five of the Trail Blazers summer league games will be broadcast on Trail Blazers flagship station KXL 750 AM.

"I’m very thankful that he (Paul Allen) made the call to get me here because I’m loving it," said Oden.
