We looked at our needs and we looked at where we want head this franchise. I am very excited about developing this guys." - Trail Blazers President, Steve Patterson said.

Blazers.com: What was it that you liked from Martell Webster over Gerald Green?

Nash: We liked both. Martell came in and competed. We liked the shooting of Martell Webster, we like the character.

Blazers.com: When did Jarrett Jack come into the picture?

Nash: Really not until the draft was unfolding. We were talking to other teams and Jarrett Jack was the guy we wanted.

Blazers.com: What did you like about Jarrett Jack?

Nash: I liked his size. Jarrett gives a coach a defensive alternative and physical presence. Jerrett is the guy that will have a long productive career.

Blazers.com: What are your plans after the draft?

Nash: Next step is summer league and we are excited with what we have.

Blazers.com: Off the court how did you evaluate Martell?
