LaMarcus Aldridge Off USA Basketball Select Team with Sore Heel

Portland Trail Blazers forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge will not play on the USA Basketball Select Team after experiencing soreness in his left heel, it was announced today.

Aldridge was named to the USA Basketball Select Team along with fellow Trail Blazer Channing Frye on Aug. 6 to help prepare the 2007 USA Senior National Team for the Aug. 22-Sept. 5 FIBA Americas Championship.
