Brandon Roy is enjoying a lot of "firsts" early on in his NBA career, but one "first" he isn’t going to enjoy is the first game he’s missed due to injury. Roy will sit out Wednesday’s contest with the Los Angeles Lakers as he rests his injured left heel.

Roy was forced to sit out the second half of Portland’s 102-89 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night after the pain worsened to the point where he didn’t feel he could play. Roy had an MRI on Tuesday, which came back negative, but the Trail Blazers aren’t taking any chances. Click here to watch Roy's interview about his injury.
