As the 2004-05 National Basketball Association season begins, the Portland Trail Blazers have announced their off-season hires and promotions in the front office.
Craig Miller
Craig Miller is the most recent hire and joins the organization as the Director of Event Presentation. Miller’s primary responsibility is to help build the brand through executing team special events. He will also lead the effort to make every game and event a memorable experience for the fans. Responsible for helping build the brand through executing team special events with an emphasis on the game night experience. Lead the effort to make every game/event a memorable experience for the fans and better connect them to the Trail Blazers and vice versa. Miller was most recently a Brand Manager for Fisher Communications in Portland and has extensive experience as an advertising and promotion manager in the television industry.
Todd Bosma
Event Presentation Manager
Also in events presentation, Todd Bosma, who is entering his seventh season with the organization, has been promoted to Event Presentation Manager. He is responsible for organizing and implementing the game night experience from doors open to doors closed, and will participate in the planning and implementation of all team events and involvement in external events.
Todd Taylor
Vice President of Ticket Sales and Customer Service
Todd Taylor joined the team as the Vice President of Ticket Sales and Customer Service. Taylor will lead ticket sales, service and
operations with a special focus on fan connection programs. Prior to joining the Trail Blazers, he spent six years with NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets and the AFL’s Columbus Destroyers, most recently as the Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service.
During his tenure in Columbus, Taylor was instrumental in the development and implementation of a variety of innovative ticketing initiatives, most notably the “Stock Split” Program, that allowed the Blue Jackets to play to 98 percent capacity with sellout crowds of 18,136 in attendance for 106 of the 164 home games. In addition, Taylor was part of the executive team that helped build the organization into the #1 Stadium Experience in all of Professional Sports, as ranked by ESPN The Magazine.
Joe DiBello
Manager of the National Sales Division
Joe DiBello has joined the team as the Manager of the National Sales Division. He is responsible for managing a newly created division in the corporate sales and sponsorship department that will sell radio, television and cable inventories on the national level. DiBello’s sales history includes working as the National Sales Manager for Infinity Broadcasting in Portland and eight years in the broadcasting industry in Dallas.
